作為商品的肉用野兔可采取飼喂精料、青料和補充飼料相結合的育肥方法，即在鮮嫩的青草或菜葉中加入大豆粉、玉米粉等，同時加入適量的骨粉和含硒生長素，以促進生長。經馴化的商品兔可進行籠養，也可進行較大規模圈養，密度控制在每10-20只，一般4-6個月可育肥出欄。
