蒙陰作為長毛兔之鄉(xiāng)，幾乎家家戶戶都養(yǎng)長毛兔。今年57歲的公為迎作為養(yǎng)了40余年長毛兔的“老江湖”，是當?shù)丶矣鲬魰缘摹伴L毛兔育種土”。他肯鉆研、肯動腦琢磨如何養(yǎng)兔，從初的20只到如今3000余只，他鉆研的養(yǎng)兔技術(shù)獲得三項，2022年8月還獲得農(nóng)業(yè)推廣研究員這一正職稱。

　　1957年，蒙陰縣開始引進長毛兔，公為迎的母親算早一批養(yǎng)兔人。1984年，念高中的公為迎開始幫母親養(yǎng)兔。他對兔子養(yǎng)殖有濃厚的興趣，家中的一本《養(yǎng)兔指南》已被他翻爛。22歲結(jié)婚的公為迎，從母親那里得到20多只兔子，正式開啟養(yǎng)兔之路。

In 1984, Gong Weiying, who was in high school, started helping his mother raise rabbits. He has a strong interest in rabbit farming, and one of the "Rabbit Farming Guide" books at home has been torn apart by him. Gong Weiying, who got married at the age of 22, received over 20 rabbits from his mother and officially began his journey of raising rabbits.

　　1999年，已在當?shù)仞B(yǎng)兔行業(yè)小有成就的他進一步擴大養(yǎng)殖場的規(guī)模，從老家搬到了蒙陰縣城，長毛兔規(guī)模已從初的20只發(fā)展到上千只。有了一定的資金積累，公為迎雇了一批工人養(yǎng)兔，他則把精力放在養(yǎng)兔的“發(fā)明創(chuàng)造”上。他研制的電動摟毛器，與吊掛式剪毛法相結(jié)合，解決了長毛兔剪毛費工費時等難題，2014年獲實用新型和外觀設計兩項。他結(jié)合庭院客觀條件發(fā)明的“寶塔兔籠”，具有占地面積小、自助喂料、節(jié)約用工等優(yōu)點，2016年獲外觀設計。

The number of long haired rabbits had grown from the initial 20 to over a thousand. With a certain amount of capital accumulation, Gongwei hired a group of workers to raise rabbits, and he focused his energy on the "invention and creation" of raising rabbits. The electric hair clipper he developed, combined with the hanging shearing method, solved the problems of time-consuming and labor-intensive shearing for long haired rabbits. In 2014, it obtained two national utility model and design patents. He invented the "Baota Rabbit Cage" based on the objective conditions of the courtyard, which has the advantages of small footprint, self-service feeding, and labor saving. It obtained a national design patent in 2016.

　　2012年后，在長毛兔市場普遍追求高產(chǎn)、兔毛粗直壯的大背景下，他另辟蹊徑，花七八年時間，選育出絨毛性長毛兔。所產(chǎn)兔絨細密纖長，被稱為“纖維中的軟黃金”，先后推廣到河北、山西、遼寧等地。近年來，兔毛行情低迷，他積極探索，又選育出“觀賞產(chǎn)絨多用兔”，帶動蒙陰當?shù)仞B(yǎng)殖戶共同致富。

　　After 2012, in the context of the widespread pursuit of high yield and thick, straight and strong rabbit hair in the long haired rabbit market, he took a different approach and spent seven to eight years breeding and breeding hairy long haired rabbits. The rabbit wool produced is fine and long, known as the "soft gold in fibers", and has been promoted to Hebei, Shanxi, Liaoning and other places. In recent years, the rabbit hair market has been sluggish. He actively explored and bred the "ornamental velvet multi-purpose rabbit", which has driven local breeders in Mengyin to become prosperous together.
